Raseel steps into adolescence with steady feet after 11 years of paralysis

Raseel was in a wheelchair her whole life when she was diagnosed with polio at birth. When she visited the medical center of MAP Jordan in Gaza camp, it was found that she had tendonitis in her thighs, not paralysis. MAP Jordan secured a sponsor for her during the “Help Them in Ramadan 5” Campaign in 2022.

Raseel was one of the patients on the waiting list for orthopedic surgery. After she underwent tendon release surgery, JMAP referred her to a physiotherapist.

Raseel is now on her feet, walking normally.  The doors of hope for a better future are open for her like any child of her age.
